SCHNEIDER—JoAnne, of New York City, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 23. She is survived by daughters Melanie Tucker, Lois Oppenheim (Ellis), and grandchildren Sarah and Keith Oppenheim, and was predeceased by her husband, Norman. After obtaining a BFA from Syracuse University, she had a highly successful career as a painter with 22 solo exhibitions and group shows at the Whitney Museum, the Corcoran Galleries, the Everson Museum and elsewhere. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the Butler Institute, East Hampton's Guild Hall, among many others. She was the recipient of the Audubon Artists Stanley Grumbacher Memorial Award [in 1972] and a member of the Lotos Club. Donations: LighthouseGuild.
