Also, as a photographer for Us and Men’s Journal, he has shot more than a hundred covers.
In 1996, Seliger completed a two year project of documenting Holocaust survivors. The photographs culminated into his first book entitled, When They Came to Take My Father, Voices of the Holocaust. His latest book, Physiognomy, was published in 1999. His images from these books and other Rolling Stone stories have been exhibited around the world.
His photographs of musicians and celebrities have won various awards including the 1999 Alfred Eisenstaedt Photography Award for a Single Image, which was given for a portrait of Ben Stiller. Mark has also done editorial and advertising work for clients such as IBM, Nike, American Express and MTV. His photographs are also in several important museum collections including the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston.
