Karl Knaths

Knaths was born in 1891 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and studied painting at the Milwaukee Art Institute and the Art Institute of Chicago. He moved to Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1919, where he remained until his death in 1971. Knaths' style shows the influence of Cubism, but also incorporates aspects of non-objective painting.
