Daniel Blau

"Mr. Blau, an attorney and artist, was one of the founders of the Dayton Art Institute. His interest in both the school and the museum started prior to 1919 when the first Art Institute opened. He served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer, and on the Faculty. He was one of the first donors to the library, and last April his personal library of approximately 1200 volumes was received as a bequest." (DAI Wall Label, February 1974)
