English, silversmith, active mid-18th century in London; free 1725 ("Free" indicates the year in which a silver or goldsmith received the freedoms of a city company (usually the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths in London). Freedom indicated certain privileges, such as permission to practice the trade or to enter a maker's mark or sponsor's mark in the registers of the Goldsmith’s company). Entered Guild 1739.
