Hadelands GlassverkNorwegian

Hadeland Glassworks was established on grounds belonging to the Mo estate at Jevnaker in 1762 and production started in 1765.

Hadeland Glassverk through times

At first production consisted mainly of bottles, chemists’ jars, medicine bottles and items of household glass. In 1852 Ole Chr. Berg took charge of Hadeland, and under his leadership the company underwent dramatic development. Production was redefined to consist of smaller crystal items and included everything from wine glasses to bowls, dishes and various types of vases. During the 1800s we mostly copied designs from other European Countries. In the 1920s we started to develop our own designs and models.
