Barry Andersen
BIBLIOGRAPHY AND SCHOLARLY INFORMATION
Barry Andersen is Professor Emeritus of Art at Northern Kentucky University, where he taught for thirty-seven years. Andersen currently serves as a Board Member and Secretary of Cincinnati's FotoFocus, the lens-based art biennial. Originally studying physics and engineering, Andersen switched majors after a course of photography at California Statue University Northridge. He went on to receive an MFA from the University of Florida, studying with Doug Prince (represented in DAI's collection), Jerry Uelsmann (represented in DAI's collection), and Todd Walker. His work has been exhibited nationally and is housed in numerous collections, including the Bibliotheque National de France, New Orleans Museum of Art, Addison Gallery of American Art (MA), Harn Museum of Art (FL), Cincinnati Art Museum, and Portland Art Museum (OR).
