Henri Thiriet

At a young age, Henri Thiriet works in Paris for Pierrefort, a lithographs workshop. Prolific poster artist in Art nouveau style, between 1890 and 1910, he produces a hundred images for many brands, that he sometimes signs Henry (instead of Henri) Thiriet. After 1918, he goes back mainly to illustrating popular novels. Is a municipal council member and vice-mayor of Créteil (near Paris), from 1925 to 1942. Paints frescos in the 1930s for the preschool Victor Hugo in Creteil. From Wikipedia France
