John Taylor ArmsAmerican, 1887 - 1953

Artist, author, architect - born in Washington, D.C. He studied law for two years at Princeton University before going to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he studied with Desire Despradelle, head of design at the school of Architecture. He also studied with Bolton Brown, D. A. Gregg and Ross Turner. His first etching was published in 1915, however it was not until his discharge from the Navy after WWI that he devoted himself to drawing and etching.
