BiographyYACKOWSKY, Erdmute H. age 78 of Fairborn, passed away Thursday January 13, 2011 in the Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 18, 1932 in Koblenz (Pfaffendorf), Germany, the daughter of Edmund and Augusta Schneider. Erdmute studied at Heidelberg University in Germany and Oxford Academy of English in England; and earned her Master's Degree in Education with honors from Wright State University. She taught in the Dayton School System as well as arts and crafts in workshops at the Riverbend Art Center. Erdmute was an active member of an International Social Group in Southwest Ohio and the Fairborn Art Association; and she participated and contributed creations in various art shows. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael; two sons, Stephan Yackowsky, Christoph Yackowsky and wife Vonda; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Yackowsky; a sister, Christa Fischer and husband Karl Heinz Fischer of Germany; and sisters-in-law, Anne Paul and family of New Jersey and Martha Fischer and family of New Jersey.
