Clarice Moore, a native Daytonian, is a fine artist, writer and illustrator who enjoys keeping her portfolio fluid. In addition to exhibition and competing on regional and national levels, she has many awards to her credit, with her work also gracing many private collections. After writing and illustrating her book, Dilly the Violin, she toured area libraries introducing young readers to the violin family with live performances and hands-on experiences, as well as an animated reading. In the warm months of the year, this multi-faceted artist literally takes her show on the road, enjoying great success as a caricature artist at street fairs, weddings, birthdays and even college campuses during enrollment events. Ms Moore has membered with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Dayton Visual Artists Guild, The Fairborn Arts Association and the African American Visual Artists Guild. She currently resides in Beavercreek, Ohio, with her husband of 36 years.
