BiographyFred Farr was born in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1914. He studied art at the Portland Art Museum, the Art Students League in New York, the American Artist's School, and the University of Oregon. He taught at the Museum of Modern Art, the University of Oregon, Hunter College in New York, the Brooklyn Art Museum, and The Dayton Art Institute. He exhibited widely in his career, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He was represented by the Paul Rosenberg Gallery in New York, where his shows were reviewed by Artnews.
