BiographyElaine has exhibited widely and her work can be found in many public and private collections. She also is a noted educator who has lectured and taught in Brazil, England, Israel, Australia, and throughout the United States. She currently teachers graduate fine art at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.

Elaine O’Neil completed an MS at Rochester Institute of Technology (1970), where she is currently a professor of photography. O'Neil's work is represented in Rochester Institute of Technology's MFA Portfolio from 2000, along with photographs by her graduate students.

Elaine O'Neil received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of the Arts (1968) and a Master of Science in Photography at the IIT Institute of Design (ID) at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT)(1970).

In the 1980s Elaine O'Neil was a visiting artist at California State College at Fullerton. She has also been an instructor at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, since 1975. Between the years 1971 and 1975 Elaine O'Neil taught at College of the Dayton Art Institute, Sinclair Community College, and Wright State University, all in Dayton, Ohio.
