BiographyLori Brown is a self taught artist born and raised in a small, rural, town about an hour outside of Cincinnati. As a little girl she spent her days playing in the woods, scribbling on whatever was convenient and assmembling little figures from anything she could get her hands on. Some things never change...she still heads for the woods every chance she gets and, while her methods are more refined, she is still just scribbling pictures and crafting little characters. Her current breadth of work includes plush creatures, paper pulp sculptures, acrylic paintings and digitally colored ink drawings. She now resides in a cozy house in Cincinnati with her husband, two kitties and the newest love of her life, Master Sebastian Huxley Brown, an ever-so-slightly-spoiled Toy Fox Terrier. Her current work explores the idea of creatures from other worlds. This is fueled by the mystery of the forest and her affection for science fiction and fantasy literature.
