Biographydied 1985? (per Helen Pinkney)The artist was a student at the DAI in 1940- we have no known birth or death dates. He is African American. Mrs. Carnell paid for his tuition to attend the DAI school for a number of years in addition to commissioning to have the peacock cast in bronze.
