BiographyDulce Beatriz (née Dulce Hernandez Moreno de Ayala) was born in Havana in a traditional Spanish family. Her maternal grandfather
D. Emilio Moreno de Ayala was a man of letters, a historian and a lecturer in universities in Spain. His work "Anthology, Analogy and Syntax of Castillian Grammar" as well as his endeavor organizing the " Archives of Indies" in Cadiz were recognized by Queen Elizabeth II of Spain who awarded him with theRoyal Order of Isabel

A normal School of Kindergarten Teachers graduate (1949) Mrs. Beatriz had initiated her musical education in the Carlos Alfredo Peyrellade Conservatory of Music (1939) and received a Doctorate Degree in Piano, Solfeggio, Theory of Music, Harmony, Composition, Counterpoint, Orchestration, History of Music and Musical Pedagogy(1953). Her graduation from the National Academy of Fine Arts” San Alejandro” in 1955 culminated with a Travel Purse the same year.

In 1959, she married Leonardo Beatriz, a concert flamenco guitarist, who had performed with some of the most famous Spanish Artists in the century. Mr. And Mrs. Beatriz have visited archeological sites in Mexico and Guatemala as well as in Italy, Greece and Egypt in historical and anthropological studies. In fact, part of Dulce Beatriz’s artistic production is a result of travels to Mexico, Spain, Belgium, France, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Egypt, besides the marinas inspired by the West Coast of the State of Florida and Venice.

In 1971 Dulce Beatriz published a hardbound book called” A Quarter Century of My Life,” which shows many of her artworks. Dulce continues to work on new projects with the same talent and creativity as always.
