Dutch, 1619 - 1661
BiographyBorn 24 May 1619, in Delft; died 1661, buried 12 June in Delft.
Painter. Group portraits, portraits.

Jacob Delff the Younger studied under his father, the engraver Willem Jacobsz., and under Michiel Janszoon van Mierevelt, his grandfather. On 15 October 1641 he joined the Delft guild. In 1642 he married Anna van Hoogenhouck and was a councillor and port master. Although quite a large number of works by Delff survive, very little is known about his life.

Also attributed to him is a painting entitled Harquebusiers, in Delft town hall, but this is more probably the work of Jacob Willemsz. the Elder and his son Rochus Jacobsz.
