Minami Keiko

Engraver.
Keiko Minami studied oil painting with Yoshio Mori and engraving with Yozo Hamaguchi, whom she married. She went to France in 1953. From 1954 to 1956 she produced her own engravings at the Friedlander Print Institute. She is a member of the Japanese Association of Engraving and the Association of Independent Artists.
Minami engraved in a richly lyrical style. She took part in all the International Print Biennale in Tokyo from 1957. Her work was also represented at the Exhibition of Contemporary Japanese Art in Tokyo in 1964. She held solo exhibitions in New York and Washington.
