Masanari Murai

Painter, engraver.
After a period spent in Europe from 1928 to 1932, Murai Masanari returned to settle in Japan. He founded the New Age Salon in 1934, the Free Arts Society in 1937, and the Modern Art Salon in 1950.
His work was shown at several group exhibitions in Japan and abroad, including the São Paulo Biennale in 1951.
